Back then, it was not only the largest provincial hotel in Denmark, but also Vejle’s second-tallest building – only surpassed by the steeple of Saint Nicolai Church. Truly, a spectacular building for its time. The ground floor interior walls are clad with sandstone from Bornholm and the façade with marble slabs from Bolzano in northern Italy.
